Subject-wise strategy for SSC CGL 2018 Exam Tier 1

  1. Study all the topics of the syllabus given in SSC CGL Notification 2018.
  2. Solve previous year papers of CGL to acquaint yourself with the previous year exam pattern and important topics to study.
  3. Build up speed by learning short tricks to calculate complex calculations
  4. Practice Shortcuts  by taking speed tests on regular basis.
  5. Solve mock tests with time limit or duration given in the test.
Strategy for English Language
  1. Learn new wordsdaily while reading newspapers and novels and make notes. Make it a practice to revise them daily.
  2. Learn grammar rules and practice them by taking extensive exercises from question bank of SSC CGL previous years.
  3. Also read and revise word power made easy this book will help you to improve your vocabulary.
Strategy for Logical Reasoning
  1. Revise by analyzing previous year question papers.
  2. Practice each and every topic as most of them are quiz based.
  3. Revise the topics daily to master them.
Strategy for General Studies
It is a very scoring section if prepared diligently. Follow the strategy and you will get the result.
  1. Read NCERTS if possible as these will give you the basic reasons of the GK you are learning.
  2. Solve previous year questions to shortlist the important topics
  3. Read various current affair magazines and listen to the news to keep yourself updated with the latest.
